Nitzavim/Vayelech | נצבים/וילך | "Standing/He went "

This weeks Torah Portion is a double portion. These happen from time to time due to the disparities between the Lunar based calendars and the Solar based Calendars. As well most years there is simply more portions than Shabbats. We are reading the 51st and 52nd Torah Portion today. They are titled Nitzavim (נצבים), which means “standing” and Vayelech (וילך), which means “and he went”.
